SAM SAEGER DANIEL
ACTING
I came to acting through the screenwriting process. In an effort to both discover characters more naturally and create authentic dialogue, I started recording myself as I acted out the parts in my films. Since then, I have written parts for myself in each of my scripts, starred in several short films, was a day player on two episodes of Season Eleven of American Horror Story, and recently played a supporting role in the soon-to-be released Chiwetel Ejiofor film Rob Peace.

In Broken Love, I play the lead character of Ethan, an escaped convict. The below "Cabin Scene" and "Sizzle Reel" are showcases for the full feature, which my collaborator and friend Colin Hodgson and I are working to produce.

Also below are my acting resume, reel, a scene study from Good Will Hunting, where my Will Hunting delivers a monologue about why he shouldn't join the NSA, a scene study from Hunger, where my Bobby Sands, who led Republican prisoners in the 1981 hunger strikes in Northern Ireland, tells a formative story from his childhood, a scene study from Five Easy Pieces, where my Robert Dupea, a drifter who's rejected his upper-class background, says goodbye to his dying father, and a scene study from The Wolf of Wall Street, where my Jordan Belfort tells his company he has to bow out -- but will he really go through with it?
